I ran a great 5K today.
Adam and I drove over to the mountain brow, parked the car, and ran from one end of the brow to the other. It was a great trail run. This summer, I really want to run as many trails as possible. I think what I like best about trails is that your body doesn’t know what to expect. The terrain is uneven, you’re constantly running up and down over inclines and declines…you really get the most out of running this way. Don’t get me wrong; there is something very likeable about the track, too. If you are even slightly OCD (which I am), then you get comfort in running the same distance around the same track over and over again. There is no element of surprise, and this can be a good thing.
But in the summer when I’m home in Canada, I like my trail runs.
We have some amazing trails in this area!
