Time is going by so fast. It feels like I just started this blog a short while ago, but when I logged in, I noticed that I’ve posted nearly 100 times! I wonder if I win a prize at the 100 mark… 😉

So yesterday I got up early once again to go to the gym.

*sigh*

It is so hard to walk over to the gym when there’s a nice breeze blowing first thing in the morning. All I can think is, “Man, I could be running right now.” Weird, right? The other night, I even dreamt about running! I mean come on…who dreams about running? Oh right…me…

Once we get back to Ontario, I think I’m just gonna start running, though. Screw it. I’m tired of this bullshit. I’ll just keep massaging and keep icing…we’ll see how it goes. My friend Ayşen told me that she had PF once and got a needle in her heel which formed a sort of cushion on her foot. I don’t have time to look into that now, but a friend of mine is an acupuncturist in Hamilton and I’m gonna ask her if she can do anything for it. OK, OK, the two are not the same (I know!) but I’m willing to try anything right now!

There is a 5K/10K in Burlington in July that I would like to run. I ran the 5K a couple of years ago; in fact, it was my first official 5K. At that time, the registration money benefited Big Brothers/Big Sisters. This year, the money goes to Easter Seals. I like entering races where the proceeds go to a good cause. Anyway, my point here is that I want to run that race–the 10K–so I need to start running soon after I get home.

Still juicing twice a day. Same go-to every morning (beet/carrot/apple/ginger); in the afternoons, I try to mix it up a bit. Yesterday, we had something interesting (or as Adam put it, “too tomatoey.”) I don’t mind tomato, but it’s true that it certainly tastes different once it’s juiced. I prefer it in a tomato/cucumber/Turkish black olive salad. Yum!

So, if you want to try my afternoon juice-of-the-day, here is the recipe: 3 stalks celery, 3 cucumbers, 2 yellow peppers, 2 green peppers, 3 green apples, 10 radishes, bunch of alfalfa sprouts, 2 lemons, 4 tomatoes. I quite liked it, but I can see how it might not be to everyone’s taste. Maybe a couple of shots of vodka would help…(vodka always helps!) 😀
