Not to worry, dear readers. I’m still here! I’ve just been swamped with end-of-the-year work so I haven’t been able to update my lovely blog since last Monday…eek!
I know I keep saying this, so my apologies if I sound like a broken record, but man it’s getting HOT over here! It really reminds me of that Nelly song (that I now can’t get out of my head). If things get any worse, methinks I might be prepared to take off all my clothes!
Anyhoo…I was glad to have Brendan’s session indoors on Tuesday with the a/c on full blast! Our workout was called “40-30-20″…I think I’ve written about this one before. He starts off by giving us four different exercises (for example: squat-press, push-ups, bicep curls, burpees) and we have to perform each move for 40 seconds, then 30, then 20. After that, we hop on the bike and ride as fast as possible for 500 meters. Following this is a two-minute cool-down, then off to another circuit. I believe we performed four different circuits throughout the hour. I have to say, once again, I felt great!! In my mind I was bitching about the burpees, but I would rather do burpees than pull-ups any day!! 🙂
