The good thing about it is that you can keep in touch with family and friends while you’re living overseas. It gives you the opportunity to see their faces and talk to them as if they were sitting right next to you.
The bad thing about Skype? See above…
Let’s face it, gang…family can be frustrating. Sometimes, family makes me want to drop-kick my laptop. Don’t get me wrong, I love my family, but sometimes it’s like “Seriously?? WTF, family??”
The one good thing that comes out of a frustrating conversation is the frustration itself. I had just finished skyping when I realized I needed to jet over to the school for my final 9K with Cynthia.
The frustration made me run faster.
I think it’s the adrenaline.
I beat my previous PR by 47 seconds.
So as much as I sometimes want to put my family in a choke hold, I am also thankful to them for bringing out the best in me.
Family can suck and rock at the same time. Thankfully, they mostly rock. 🙂
