I’m not gonna lie.
I was not up for working out yesterday. My legs still felt sore from my run the day before (I didn’t stretch sufficiently afterward) and to be honest, the couch, the remote, and the leftover hummus were lookin’ pretty good to my eyes.
I messaged Brendan and told him how I felt. I said “I won’t come if you make me work on my legs.” His response: “Not to worry. It will be a light workout.”
I should really know better by now…
So I washed my face, changed, and walked over to the school. The workout? 10-20-30.
OK, I see one, two, three, four different brutal leg exercises here. Uh, what happened to the light workout? If this is light, what does killer look like??
We did this circuit twice, then worked on our cores for another 15 min or so. Blargh! There were some points where I felt like vomiting. Why oh why can I not be blessed with one of those über-fit, high metabolism, “I-can-eat-whatever-I-want-and-not-gain-an-ounce” bodies? My brother is blessed with high metabolism. Doesn’t work out, eats what he wants, looks the same as he did in high school. Damn you, Ali!!! 😉
I hope I can get through my 7K run today. It is icky-humid out there. Gonna need some extra water today. Wish me luck!! 🙂
