Need I say more?
This is what Brendan had us do yesterday. If you are unfamiliar with the term, you are not alone. It made me grimace when I first heard it (it sounds so gross!)
According to Runner’s World, a fartlek is “Swedish for ‘speed play;’ variable pace running; a mixture of slow running, running at a moderate pace and short, fast bursts. Fartlek training is a ‘creative way’ to increase speed and endurance.”
We did this for about 40 minutes (until the sprinklers attacked us!), then we went inside and did some ab work. While struggling on the stability song, I heard a very catchy tune that I’d like to share with you below. Enjoy!
