The Daily Burn...check it out!


I re-joined the Daily Burn today. And by “re-joined” I mean that I started using it again, after many many months of not using it. Basically, it’s an app where you keep track of everything you eat or drink throughout the day. You can also use it to keep track of your workouts and your weight loss. I know that the whole key to my losing weight is actually keeping track of what I put in my yap, but it’s so HARD!! Everything I like is bad for me: chips, popcorn, crackers, pasta, bread…(you see where I’m going with this, right? Clearly, I’m a carboholic). So Daily Burn, you will soon become my favorite app.

It’s amazing to see just how many calories or fat you are consuming once you start recording everything that you eat. I had a plain, organic rice cake today and it was like 27 calories. 27 CALORIES?? FOR A FREAKIN’ RICE CAKE?? I’m better off eating an apple…at least it will keep me full longer.

There’s another cool app that I downloaded called “Push-ups.” It helps you to increase the number of push-ups you can do. First it asks how many you can do at once; I can do a good 12 push-ups without losing form. Taking this info into consideration, it creates a program for you, outlining how many push-ups you should do each day. Today, for instance, I did a total of 50 push-ups at intervals of 11, 13, 8, 8, and 10. Tomorrow, I’m on track to do 55. I’m excited about this as push-ups have always been difficult for me.

    When you say that you can do 12 push ups, does that mean from the knee or from the toes? I can barely do 12 from the knees. They are my nemesis! Maybe I should get this app…

      I’ve been doing them from the toes. I used to do them from the knees (the modified ones) but Brendan told me that for the best results, I need to start doing them from the toes, so that’s what I’ve been doing.
      It’s a great app! I highly recommend it!! 🙂
