I don't really want to be 20 again...I like the age I am; I just want the body!!

 

 

 

 

 

As promised, I went over to the school and worked out. Initially, I was just going to work on my arms, but Brendan had left his crazy circuit training up on the whiteboard, so instead, I modified it and worked on every part of my body. I have to admit, I think I was pretty good at putting this together! What you see below is a modification of Brendan’s “Oh 2 Be 20 Again” workout (he likes to give everything a title…I just call his workouts “Pain Personified.”)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh 2 Be 20 Again (but not really…)

20 pushups

20 in/outs

20 step-ups (3 levels)

20 sumo squats with tricep extensions

20 medicine ball slams

20 bench dips

20 hammer curls

20 tricep kickbacks

20 bicep curls

2km stationary bike

 

Each of these moves are done back-to-back with no rests in between. Once I finished one set, I rested for 2 minutes, then worked backwards, starting with the bike. Again, another 2 minute rest after the second set; then finally, my last set starting from the beginning. The whole workout took about 45 minutes. Perfect. It was just what I needed to get my blood pumping and my soul energized. Tomorrow, I will hopefully start my 8K training run. I’ll let you know how that goes… 🙂
