Yesterday I ran my “new” regular 12 laps around the track. It certainly wasn’t my best run (my pace was only 7:23), but I got out there and I did it. Ironically, yesterday also marked a new milestone for me: since June 17, 2011 (that’s the earliest date I’ve been tracking my runs using the Nike+ app), I have run exactly 200km. Yesterday marked my 50th run since that time.
You don’t realize how much you’ve run (or how far) until you see the numbers. Every time I run, I just take for granted that I’ve run 3K here, maybe 5K there…it’s not until you total it up that you realize, “Holy crap! I’ve run the equivalent of an ultra-marathon!”
I wonder how many more kilometers I can run before I go home this summer…
