Let’s not talk about Days 10 & 11…
OK, let’s talk about it. I completely missed Canadian Thanksgiving last month, so to make up for it, I baked up a feast for American Thanksgiving. That was Thursday-day. Thursday night we were invited to a Thanksgiving dessert (+ alcohol) buffet…yum! So needless to say, I did not work out on Thursday.
On Friday we had friends over for Thai food (again, yum!) plus home-baked desserts like apple pie, granola bars, nutella cupcakes…it was definitely a carboholics delight that night. Friday? No workout. 😦
Today, however…today was different. Today we put up the Christmas tree and decorated the house. Then we headed over to the school as a family. Ella had her soccer ball and scooter in tow. While she played on the grassy field with Adam, I ran around the track. I had to take some occasional detours when the ball was kicked too far, but that’s okay. I was happy to run some extra time after the weekend I’d had! I ran 10 laps again, but I beat my previous time by 5 seconds, and I ran at a faster pace! This may seem like baby steps for some, but it’s huge strides for me!
